Why the Theme “Sustainable Futures - Leadership & Global Collaboration”?
Our theme was originally inspired by the severe shortage of water during the start of the year.
Sustainable Futures: Leadership & Global Collaboration is more than a theme; it's a call to action. By applying facilitation principles to pressing global issues, we can cultivate a world where diversity is celebrated, conflicts are resolved harmoniously, and strategic decisions are made inclusively.
Facilitation is the compass guiding us towards a sustainable future. It empowers us to:
-
Bridge divides: Foster empathy and understanding among diverse perspectives to create shared solutions.
-
Drive systemic change: Catalyse organizational transformations that prioritize people and planet.
-
Innovate for impact: Unleash collective creativity to develop sustainable business models and practices.
-
Build resilient communities: Strengthen social fabric through inclusive decision-making and capacity building.
What does our Logo say?
Elements: Globe: Represents planet Earth, symbolizing our shared home and the interconnectedness of global issues.
Human figures: Represent the diverse population of the world, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and human-centric approaches. Hands: Symbolize leadership, care, protection, and collaboration. They encircle the globe, suggesting a nurturing and supportive role in shaping a sustainable future.
Colors: The vibrant colors (purple, orange, and green) represent diversity, energy, and growth, respectively and IAF colors.
Interpretation: The logo effectively conveys the essence of the conference theme. The hands, positioned as if cradling the globe, symbolize the role of Facilitative Leadership and collaboration in safeguarding our planet. They represent the collective effort required to build a sustainable future for all. The human figures on the globe highlight the importance of human well-being and the interconnectedness of humanity.
Overall, the logo visually communicates the conference's focus on fostering global cooperation and responsible Facilitative leadership to create a sustainable world. In the context of facilitation, the hands could also represent facilitators who, through their skills and guidance, support individuals and groups in working together to achieve sustainable goals.
